Meet the experienced professionals leading IET's innovative environmental solutions
Mr. Scalzi, President and founder of Innovative Environmental Technologies, Inc. (IET), has been performing biologically and chemically based remediation since the late 1980's. Mr. Scalzi has designed and implemented projects across the country. As the "Father" of in-situ technologies, Mr. Scalzi has led the way in technology development and delivery technologies. In the nearly 35 years he has been in the environmental contracting and design industry, he has impacted the industry with creative designs, new technologies with a focus on optimization and efficacy of chemical, biological and mechanical processes.
Mr. Scalzi holds a Master's degree in microbiology from the State University of New York. He has also participated in the curriculum development for environmental profession programs, sat on numerous state and federal roundtables and advisory boards, developed curriculum for college programs in New York and Pennsylvania, holds patents in delivery and remedial processes, and has published numerous articles relating to his experiences and expertise.
Wade Meese serves as the corporate Vice President for Innovative Environmental Technologies, Inc. (IET). Since 1996, Wade has been immersed in the design and testing of in situ implementation equipment and tooling, development of reactive remediation chemistries and the design and implementation of biotic and abiotic based remediation approaches. He has extensive experience with a wide variety of remedial technologies including ISCO, ISCR, Biostimulation, Bioaugmentation, and In-Situ Geochemical Stabilization.
Wade possesses a deep understanding of the necessary subsurface biogeochemical conditions and biotic/abiotic reactions to achieve sustained in situ reactivities and leverage synergistic processes. His unique experiences and expertise enable him to provide clients with innovative, cost effective remediation solutions for projects across the USA and internationally. Wade holds a bachelor's degree in geology from The Ohio State University. He also holds multiple patents in injection delivery and in situ remedial chemistries. Wade has published numerous articles and presented them at regional, national and international remediation conferences.
Mr. Connor, Vice President of Operations, has been with IET since 2008. Mr. Connor holds a BS in Biology from Mansfield and has performed post graduate work at Villanova in Environmental Engineering.
Mr. Connor has managed and overseen over 100 remedial projects over the past ten years and has implemented a variety of remedial technologies ranging from in-situ reductive dechlorination via both abiotic and biotic technologies, in-situ and ex-situ chemical oxidation, NAPL stabilization, and metal stabilization at sites spanning the USA.
Mr. Phillips, South Carolina Operations Manager, has joined IET at the beginning of 2020 with the acquisition of the South Carolina Branch. Mr. Phillips has been working in the drilling industry since 1983 with projects ranging from environmental and geotechnical drilling, to residential and commercial water well systems, and to mineral exploration. Mr. Phillips has been managing multiple crews in the Southeastern portion of the United States for the over 20 years.
Mr. Tynan, Southeast Drilling Manager, has been with IET since 2016, managing the NC office. Mr. Tynan brings three decades of experience managing and supervising numerous environmental drilling initiatives and a wide range of soil and groundwater remediation projects throughout the Eastern United States. Mr. Tynan holds a BS in Earth Science and Geography from the UNC at Charlotte. Mr. Tynan has managed and overseen hundreds of projects over the past 25 years dealing with environmental drilling, geotechnical drilling, and a variety of groundwater and soil remediation projects across the United States.
William Fields, Texas Drilling Operations Manager, joined IET in 2025, in his role he oversees the, sales, operations and maintenance for the southwest region of the United States. As a drilling veteran, William has been in the Southwest market for 26-years with professional experience in the environmental and geotechnical drilling Industry; from hands-on drilling to senior management of operations, operational sales, client relations, strategic planning, and project budgeting/ project management. William currently holds licenses to drill in Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, New Mexico, and Iowa. He's a loving husband and grandfather of Seven.
Denise Pollock serves as Controller and Corporate Administration Manager, bringing 27 years of financial and administrative leadership experience, including 12 years with IET. She oversees all financial operations, including reporting, payroll, and accounting, ensuring accuracy, regulatory compliance, and strong fiscal stewardship aligned with the company's strategic goals.
Denise provides leadership with clear financial insight while fostering collaboration across departments to support efficient, well-organized operations. She is a SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) through the Society for Human Resource Management, further strengthening her expertise in corporate governance and administrative leadership.
