ISCO - Persulfate
Ambler, PA — Ferric Oxide Persulfate ISCO Treatment
Ambler, PennsylvaniaMay 2025
Project Overview
IET deployed an advanced In-Situ Chemical Oxidation (ISCO) program at a confidential industrial site in Ambler, PA using ferric oxide-activated persulfate technology. This project demonstrates the effectiveness of activated persulfate systems for treating subsurface contamination.
The treatment utilized over 1,100 pounds of sodium persulfate activated with 275 pounds of ferric oxide, delivered through IET's specialized injection trailer system with on-site supervision and quality control.
Treatment Technology
Ferric Oxide Activated Persulfate
Sodium persulfate (1,102 lbs) activated with ferric oxide (275 lbs) to generate powerful sulfate radicals
- • Long-lasting oxidant for sustained treatment
- • Effective across wide pH and temperature ranges
- • Targets chlorinated solvents and petroleum hydrocarbons
Injection Methods
IET Injection Trailer system with professional crew supervision for precise delivery and distribution
