In-situ chemical oxidation (ISCO) is an environmental remediation technique where chemical oxidants such as persulfate, permanganate, or hydrogen peroxide are injected into contaminated soil and groundwater to destroy organic contaminants like TCE, PCE, and petroleum hydrocarbons in place — without excavation.

Project Overview

IET provided comprehensive drilling services for S&ME at the Hines General Store site in Browns Summit, NC. The project involved installation of three Type II monitoring wells and four additional soil borings for site characterization.

All monitoring wells were completed with professional flush manholes and concrete pads, ensuring long-term durability and ease of access for future monitoring events.

Three (3) Type II monitoring wells to 20 feet below ground surface, constructed of 2-inch PVC screen and riser

Soil Borings

Four (4) additional soil borings advanced to 10 feet below ground surface with continuous soil sampling

Well Completions

All wells completed with flush manholes and 2'x2' concrete pads for durability and accessibility
