Three-Zone Treatment Strategy
An environmental consulting firm contracted IET for comprehensive remediation of a former industrial research site. The program featured three distinct treatment zones: unsaturated EZVI, electron donor permeable reactive barrier, and downgradient Area C amendments.
Treatment Zones
Unsaturated EZVI Area (14 days)
• DPT rig, injection trailer, and crew — 14 days of continuous operations
• Material handling, supervision, per diem, and forklift included
• Nitrogen pressurized delivery system
Electron Donor PRB (10 days)
• DPT rig, injection trailer, and crew — 10 days of operations
• Material handling, supervision, per diem, and forklift included
• Nitrogen pressurized delivery
Downgradient Area C (2 days)
• DPT rig and injection trailer — 2 days targeted operations
• ZVI, electron donor substrate, nutrient, and propionate amendments
• Material handling and supervision included
